real safe true presents 24 black-and-white photographies of US-american places. A wooden bar placed in the picture comments the situation with statements “is real,” “is safe,” or “is true.” The alternation of the double pages between full-page portrait and landscape format invites for turning and turning the publication. The double page viewed as a unified picture presents an abstract spatial constellation and the accuracy of each photograph evaporates. The terms real, safe, true describe clichés from the image of the landscape. They are interchangeable attributes labeling the photographic location. real safe true is limited by 100 copies (numbered and signed).
real safe true zeigt 24 Schwarzweißfotografien von US-amerikanischen Orten. Eine im Bild platzierte Holzlatte kommentiert die Situation mit den Aussagen »is real«, »is safe« oder »is true«. Der Wechsel der Doppelseiten des Buches zwischen ganzseitigem Hoch- und Querformat fordert zum Drehen und Wenden der Publikation auf.
